2023 has been a busy year with continued interest in Nudie sheep and I'm often asked what makes our animals different ?
Performance recording is the answer and the transparency that comes with it. In 2023 we will record approx 2500 new animals and collect a vast amount of detailed information about them. This data allows us to make continued genetic gain in economic areas.

We have completed data collection for the first year of a 3 year project building information around existing traits , plus shedding scores, shedding pattern, tail length, horn/poll and birth coat. All animals have been genotyped to increase accuracy of breeding values also.
